Capstone Project: Access to MST-TAY Services:

The Multisystemic Therapy- Transition Age Youth (MST-TAY) contract was transferred from the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to the Judicial Branch-Court Support Services Division (JB-CSSD) effective 7/1/18. JB-CSSD decided that the contract would remain as it, with no changes to the budget, staffing, and slot capacity or the number of towns served. Under DCF, the program served clients residing in 46 Connecticut towns, but JB-CSSD programs typically serve the justice system involved clients in 169 Connecticut towns of the Juvenile and Adult Court. This leaves 123 towns without access to in-home mental health, substance use treatment, and supportive services for the justice system-involved youth transitioning to adulthood.
