“The goal of my internship at the Tow Youth Justice Institute is to better understand how policies are adopted and formed. Hopefully, this internship will give me a better insight as to what field I decide to enter in the future. After taking juvenile justice and learning about the faulty system, I was very interested in juvenile justice reform. The TYJI gives me the opportunity to research previous juvenile justice policies and observe how current offices are looking to reform said policies. While also enhancing my research skills.”
