Chief Executive Officer Clifford Beers Clinic

Alice Forrester, Ph.D., is the Chief Executive Officer of Clifford Beers Clinic in New Haven, CT. In leading the agency, Dr. Forrester oversees behavioral health services and advocacy for children and families with an emphasis on an integrated, whole-family approach to care.

Among her public and private appointments, Dr. Forrester currently sits on the State of Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership Oversight Council and the Tow Youth Justice Institute Advisory Council. She has served on the board of directors for the Alliance (a Connecticut nonprofit action group), and she has held president/chair posts for the National Association for Drama Therapy and the National Coalition for Creative Arts Therapies Associations. She has vast implementation experience, most notably with funding from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, and the MOMs Partnership. In 2015, Dr. Forrester was appointed by Gov. Malloy to the Sandy Hook Commission charged, in part, with offering practical solutions to prevention of youth violence.

Dr. Forrester holds an M.A. from New York University in drama therapy and a Ph.D. from Fielding University in clinical psychology and resides in New Haven, CT.
