Executive Director, The CT Association of School Based Health Centers Inc

Melanie Wilde-Lane is the Executive Director of The Connecticut Association of School-Based Health Centers Inc. (CASBHC). She received her psychology degree from Central Connecticut State University, where she worked in non-profit healthcare. Her career in school-based health began in the early 2000s and has spanned over 25 years.
Melanie rose through the ranks of school-based health, starting as an SBHC Outreach staff, to Project Manager of Special Projects overseeing an innovative mobile dental program, to Program Manager of over 20 school-based health centers (SBHCs), and on to SBHC Director in Branford, CT. Melanie’s career goal was to follow in the footsteps of her mentor and become the Executive Director of the CT Association of School-Based Health Centers. Having achieved this goal three years ago, she has worked tirelessly to increase awareness of SBHCs, advocate for their expansion, and support their funding.
