Executive Director, Youth Business Initiative

Dajuan Wiggins is the Founder, CEO, and Executive Director of the Youth Business Initiative (YBI) and currently serves as a Councilman in the City of Norwalk, Connecticut. A long-time Norwalk resident, Dajuan is a dedicated community leader and youth advocate committed to creating pathways for success through entrepreneurship and workforce development.


Under his leadership, YBI was strategically built with a team of business owners, managing members, and entrepreneurs who share their business acumen, professional expertise, and community values with youth. Through this initiative, Dajuan empowers young people with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to succeed in today’s evolving economy—emphasizing entrepreneurship, leadership, and job readiness.


Dajuan has a strong background in community organizing and advocacy. He previously served as a Board Member for Serving All Vessels Equally (S.A.V.E) and as a Community Organizer for the Katal Center in Hartford, where he focused on issues related to mass incarceration and harm reduction. His passion for justice and equity continues to inform his work both in the community and in public service.

In addition to running YBI, Dajuan is a business partner at The Gold Room Lounge in Norwalk. When he’s not managing his various ventures, he enjoys spending time with his children, watching sports, and helping others bring their business ideas to life.
