Starting Early: The School-Based Diversion Initiative Early Intervention

Alyse Lamarre

Kindergarten Teacher, Vance Village Elementary

Alyse Lamarre is a kindergarten teacher at Vance Elementary School in New Britain, with 10 years of teaching experience, 9 of which have been in kindergarten. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Elementary Education from Eastern Connecticut State University, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Saint Joseph, and a Sixth-Year Certificate in Educational Leadership with a Special Education focus from Central Connecticut State University.

Alyse has served as a teacher leader on Vance’s Leadership Team, completed an Administrative Internship, and is currently the Leader in Residence (LIR) for the School-Based Diversion Initiative – Elementary (SBDI-E). In this capacity, she collaborates with school leaders and The Child Health and Development Institute (CHDI) to implement initiatives focused on student well-being. Alyse will discuss her role as LIR and share insights from her work with SBDI-E at Vance.
