One or our goals at the Tow Youth Justice Institute is to engage University of New Haven students in ways that provide personal and professional development opportunities to support the formation of a future workforce through strong, innovative youth justice programs. Students have the opportunity to intern in the areas of Restorative Practices, the Transforming Youth Justice program, Research, the Juvenile Justice Policy and Oversight Committee and Communications.
At the beginning of each semester, we hold welcome meetings for students to meet and greet our staff. They also receive an orientation manual to get an overview of what to expect during their time with us. We are so grateful to all of our student interns who help make our work possible!
Given the complicated work of the Juvenile Justice Policy and Oversight Committee, student interns working with the Senior Project Manager of the JJPOC.
