I am currently the Dean of Student Life at Greenwich High school and I have 18 years of experience in education. For 7 years, I taught 9th Grade Social Studies and AVID at Westhill High School in Stamford. I taught different classes, including Sheltered for our EL population and co-taught with a Special Education teacher. As Dean of Students at Westhill and currently at Greenwich High School for 11 years, I oversee discipline, attendance, and academics. While in Stamford I created the Restorative Practices program and provided Staff Development on using these techniques in classrooms.
I advocate for students and work closely with families and the community. I sat on the Stamford and Greenwich Police Department Juvenile Review Boards and coordinated efforts with the Mayor’s Youth Bureau to bring Mental Health awareness and resources to students. I also initiated an Attendance Review Board for Westhill, where we brought a community of support to help our chronically absent students. I was awarded a Spotlight on Teachers for my work as Dean in Stamford. In my personal life, my significant other, Kate, and I have a one-year-old daughter – Mallory. We both met as new teachers and have fostered a son together, Christian. Besides the human children, we have two fur babies – Belle and Alexa.
