Nadia is a returning student pursuing her Bachelor of Arts and Science, Major/ Minor: Psychology with a concentration in Forensics and a minor in Criminal Justice who will be graduating in May 2021.
“My goal for this internship is to gain experience doing research while also learning more about youth justice. I was most excited about researching studies behind the programs put in place to reduce youth involvement in the criminal justice system. I am interested in TYJI because I think a persons childhood is very indicative of their future. Its important to provide children at risk of encountering the justice system with resources and outlets to prevent involvement with the system later on in life. I always thought the work TYJI puts into youth justice was admirable and knew I wanted to be a part of the change.”
