Amanda Pappas is a returning student expected to graduate in May 2021 with a Major/Minor: Dual major in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. She is a returning TYJI Intern.
“I want to learn more about the juvenile justice system and help brainstorm ways to reform our system for the better. This internship has already taught me so much, as I am working under Erika who is passionate, knowledgeable and an inspiration to anyone she comes in contact with. I have made invaluable connections by being a part of the Tow team. I have the opportunity to meet and discuss with legislators about juvenile justice reform. I work on projects that I get to see all the way to the end and these changes have an everlasting impact on juveniles and their families who have been touched by the CT system. The Tow has confirmed my interests of working for a justice reform organization when I am older which I never considered prior to this internship.”
