Abby Alter

Abby Alter is the former Office of Policy and Management’s Criminal Justice Policy and Planning Division. She joined OPM from the Office of Health Strategy, where she led health equity initiatives to promote equal access to high quality health care and ensure better health for all Connecticut residents. She was responsible for developing RFPs, managing federal and state grants, and leading efforts to engage community organizations in the agency’s activities. Her prior work experience includes being a senior associate at the Child Health and Development Institute of Connecticut and a consultant for the Office of the Child Advocate. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from SUNY at Albany and an MPA from NYU.
