The American Criminal Justice Association Club (ACJA) at the University of New Haven is a Student-Run Criminal Justice Organization Dedicated to Promoting Diversity and Inclusion. They were established on August 27 2012.The American Criminal Justice Association has objectives of improving criminal justice through educational activities, fostering professionalism in law enforcement personnel and agencies, promoting professional, academic, and public awareness of criminal justice issues, encouraging the establishment and expansion of higher education and professional training in criminal justice, providing a unified voice for professionals in, and students of, criminal justice, promoting high standards of ethical conduct, professional training, and higher education within the criminal justice field, continuing to uphold the excellence of education in the field of criminal justice, creating opportunities for members to network and build relationships with other students within the criminal justice field and educating members about social and racial issues in the criminal justice field.
