“I have enjoyed working at TYJI because it gives me a sense of direction and tips I could acquire for my future career. I am constantly learning new abilities and directions to take to improve myself and my skills. I have also had the pleasure to meet people from different agencies and aid in the projects brought upon committees. What interests me the most is seeing the process and research TYJI and other agencies do to come together and create policies to help reduce and divert juveniles from detention centers. I thoroughly enjoy helping others and by working for TYJI, I feel as if I am a part of something that helps improve policies to aid in the decline of incarceration of juveniles and divert them into a different path and which is exactly what I would enjoy doing for a career. I plan on helping victims of sexual abuse and trafficking and provide them with resources to reintegrate back into society.”
